Guides
Planning tips
Do I need reservations for Paso Robles wineries?
Many tasting rooms welcome walk-ins on weekdays, but weekends and October fill up. Book ahead when you can, and check each event listing; we show reservation notes where wineries give them.
How should I plan a day of tasting?
Group your stops by area. The west side, the east side and downtown are far enough apart that three or four wineries close together make a better day than a zigzag. The app builds that route for you.
How do I plan for a group or a celebration?
Reserve ahead: many tasting rooms limit walk-in group sizes, especially on weekends and in October. For a celebration, look at winemaker dinners and special events, and arrange a driver or car service.
Can I bring my dog?
Often, on patios and lawns. See the dog-friendly guide, and check each listing, since events can have their own rules.
Who should drive?
Plan a designated driver or book a car or tour service before you go.
